I recently came across New York artist, Ann Wood. I first discovered her little bird figures while perusing craft blogs. From there, I stumbled onto her absolutely gorgeous paper and fabric ships. What a treat they are?! Her One Hundred Horses project was also interesting. Anyway, I found her work refreshing and quirky and I've been following her blog ever since.

A series of photographs of San Jose California- as it looked in 1975 and how the same streets look today. For those of you in Calgary, see you all in 2032.

I am looking for edgey, contemporary paintings by young Canadian artists to show in my gallery in Langley.

I will be opening the gallery for only one weekend a month in which it will focus on revolving art work by young artists and bringing spectacular, original art out to the burbs.

Check out Dutch artist Theo Jansen and his kinetic sculptures. Pretty neat! I love the way his creatures move. It's a strange way to talk about one's art (as new life forms), but you can see how it seems to apply to what he's doing.

Don't quite know what to say about this site.... but I certainly would call it Unorthodox Taxidermy. Now where's my RTV Silicone?
